The use of 3D CAD modelling in architecture and property development work is well established. It is used across a wide spectrum of applications to generate powerful photorealistic visions creating a platform for conveying scale and purpose - a powerful medium for further creative inspiration and ideas.

The resulting 3D CAD models can also be used for a variety of other purposes:

• drawing & document management systems
• internet web display
• exhibition / powerpoint kiosk display
• meeting / conference room display on LCD / Plasma
• corporate / business reception display on LCD / Plasma
• CYMK colour output for use in printing

For land & property development sites it may be useful, although not essential, to use ordnance survey maps to create an initial scheme model. Detailed architecure and building design, which can be derived from the client's 2D CAD design work, can then be added to the model which is developed to include the required level of detail including lighting, building design material images, street furniture and other objects as required.

This is an iterative process and once finalised to the client's requirements, in terms of content, context and viewing angle(s)/ animation route(s) etc, the model and resulting 4D CAD animation can be rendered to incorporate the required material and texture representations.
